Shibata Dental has made an investment in CEREC (Ceramic Reconstruction) and can now offer you the benefits of a one visit crown treatment.
This "state of the art" technology will allow you to eliminate multiple visits to the practice. Intraoral images of your teeth are taken using our powder-free scanning and precise 3D imaging software.
Dr Shibata will then design and mill the crown while you enjoy watching TV, reading the latest magazines or coffee in the patient lounge. Say goodbye to messy impression materials and temporary crowns!
At Shibata Dental, we have two friendly Oral Health Therapists who are specifically qualified to treat children in their own fun, educational and caring approach.
Routine oral examinations from a young age can assist in providing a comfortable and positive experience for your child.
When it comes to implants, we work closely with the Periodontist who looks after the implant surgery and planning.
Once the implant has been placed and it has integrated and is ready to be restored, Dr Shibata will complete the treatment by restoring the implant crown.
It is with no doubt that we all dread undergoing Root Canal Treatment - taking the nerve out of the tooth), however, should a Root Canal Treatment be necessary, Dr Shibata is able to complete the treatment in different visits depending on each case and utilise his ceiling mounted dental microscope for quality treatment.
With periodic oral examinations and cleaning, we focus on prevention and instilling correct oral hygiene for you and your family.
A good dental habit will also reduce the need for more costly treatment in the future.
Achieving straight teeth without fixed metallic braces.. Invisalign - a clear, removable mouthpiece could be your solution.
Invisalign works through a series of custom made aligners that gradually help to move your teeth in alignment. We take a panoramic radiograph (OPG) to assess each individual case before commencing treatment and have a payment plan option.
The duration of your Invisalign treatment can vary from under one year to a couple of years depending on each case. There will be regular 6-8week appointments to ensure the best treatment outcome.
We understand many of our patients have an active lifestyle by taking part in weekend sports, after school activities and school sports days. For our active patients we offer custom made Mouthguards that can be fabricated within a week from the initial impressions.
Patients who suffer from stress related nocturnal grinding (bruxism) or clenching of the jaw, can be provided with Occlusal Splints, which are mouth pieces that help to protect your teeth from grinding away the enamel of your teeth and can also assist in relieving jaw pain.
Extractions may take place due to orthodontic treatment planning, gum disease, fractured teeth, accidents or wisdom teeth removal.
Removal of wisdom teeth is done under local anaesthesia - we can refer those patients with a more complex case, or those who prefer to complete treatment under general anaesthesia, to Oral Surgeons.
Our Oral Health Therapists are able to remove the deciduous (baby teeth) for our younger patients.
A bright and white smile can improve your self-esteem, and enhance your general appearance.
For those of you who are interested in whitening we provide Phillips Zoom WhiteSpeed for 'in-office whitening', and Poladay for 'take home whitening'.
The in-office whitening treatment will take place in a controlled environment with our Oral Health Therapist and the treatment takes just a little over 1 hour to complete.
Poladay take home whitening involves two relatively quick appointments:
1. Impression taking and
2. Insert of the whitening trays and instructions.
