Teeth Whitening

A bright and white smile can improve your self-esteem, and enhance your general appearance.

For those of you who are interested in whitening we provide Phillips Zoom WhiteSpeed for 'in-office whitening', and Poladay for 'take home whitening'.

The in-office whitening treatment (Phillips Zoom) will take place in a controlled environment with our Oral Health Therapist. Patients walk out with a bright new smile after the full treatment which takes just a little over 1 hour. Sensitivity may be experienced during and after treatment and it is advised you take an appropriate analgesic approximately 30minutes before commencing treatment.

Here are some simple tips on how to care for your teeth after your Zoom Whitening treatment.

• 1. Use of 'Relief' gel (provided) or GC Tooth Mousse on your teeth daily to assist with sensitivity experienced after whitening. The GC Tooth Mousse will also help with maintaining a lighter appearance to your teeth.
• 2. Avoid any foods or beverages that can cause staining. Examples include red wine, coffee, tea, curry or bolognese. If you are a smoker, please try to avoid smoking.
• 3. Begin to use sensitive toothpaste on a regular basis. Some samples will be given to you on the day of your treatment
• 4. Maintain regular check-up and clean appointments every 6 months (unless informed otherwise)

Poladay allows you to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home.

It involves two relatively quick appointments;

• First visit: Impressions
• Second visit: Insert of the whitening trays and instructions
